Who in their right mind would even think about cutting himself or herself to prove that they do care for their friends? What is agreeable is that now, cutting has an acceptable purpose, but only to a certain extent. To make your friends stop fighting through such an infinitesimally logical manner is not really selflessness, but selfishness. At the same time it inconspicuously reveals threat; it might resolve the problem, but it’s resolved in fear.
I just don’t understand… Perhaps it’s a sad excuse to exercise masochism.
I hope they consider patience, persistence, and words next time a problem between friends arise.
